Foundation Skills Assessments (FSA) will be administered to all grade 7 students during the month of February. Parents will be provided with the results of the assessments.

Today, all Grade 7 students were given a letter from Dr. Keven Elder, Superintendent of Schools, outlining the purpose of the Foundation Skills Assessment -- if your child doesn't bring a copy home, contact the school and arrangements will be made to get you a copy.

Yearbook Sales

Bayside Yearbooks are now available for Pre-Sale until March 1, 2012 for $30. After the pre-sale ends, yearbooks will be available on a first come, first served basis in June for $35 cash. Order forms are available at the office, by clicking Forms on the Bayside homepage, and will also be in the January 26 newsletter.

Homestay Families Required

Bayside is hosting 56 Japanese students from March 24th to 28th and is in need of host families to take part in this experience!

To be eligible, your family must:
  • Have children in the home attending Bayside
  • Speak English at home
  • Provide 3 meals a day, including bagged lunches on school days
  • Provide transportation to and from school
  • Provide each student with their own bed (temporary beds are acceptable)

Host families will be required to host 2 students from Japan based on the above criteria, and will be compensated $29/day per student.
